What Australian parents should know before choosing a system.

Best for: reducing household waste Not ideal for: sealed cartridge preference

All three Magic bins share the same drop-and-turn, odour-free wave seal. Nothing about how the seal works changes between them. What changes is capacity, footprint and price, and that's really the whole decision.

Best for maximum capacity: Heka L, 40L, holds approx. 45 nappies

Best for tight spaces: Thoth, 28L, same height as Heka but a slimmer footprint

Best for lowest entry price: Majestic, 20L, from $119.95

Same across all three: The drop-and-turn wave-seal mechanism

Choose Heka If...

  • You want the biggest capacity in the range — 40L, fewer bag changes
  • You've got the floor space — 28.5cm is the widest footprint of the three
  • You want the option to give it a 2nd life as a bathroom bin once the nappy years are done

Choose Thoth If...

  • You're tight on space — same telescopic height as Heka, but a 24cm slimline footprint
  • You want a starter kit — ships with a bag roll and dispenser included
  • You still want the 2nd life bathroom lid option later

Choose Majestic If...

  • You want the lowest entry price in the range, from $119.95
  • A compact, fixed-height bin suits your space better than a taller telescopic one
  • You don't need the 2nd life lid option — Majestic doesn't have one

What Doesn't Change Between Them

Every Magic bin uses the same wave-seal mechanism and works with any standard bin liner, or Magic's own bag for a guaranteed seal. All three are made from 100% recycled, GRS-traceable material, and all three carry the same 1 year warranty backed by Coolkidz Australia.

FAQs

Heka or Thoth for a small bathroom?

Thoth — same drop-and-turn mechanism as Heka, but a 24cm slimline footprint instead of 28.5cm, in the same telescopic height.

Which Magic bin holds the most nappies?

Heka L, at 40L capacity, holds approximately 45 nappies (newborn/infant sizing). Thoth holds approximately 35, and Majestic approximately 25.

Can I convert any Magic bin into a household bin later?

Heka and Thoth both have an optional bathroom lid accessory ($34.95) for exactly that. Majestic doesn't currently have a lid accessory.

Is the entry-level Majestic missing anything important?

No — it uses the same drop-and-turn wave seal as Heka and Thoth. It's simply fixed-height rather than telescopic, smaller in capacity, and doesn't have a 2nd-life lid option.
