My MAGIC nappy bin smells, what can I do to prevent that?
To ensure your nappy bin remains completely odourless, make sure the plastic bag is installed correctly and free from any holes or damage, and use either a standard plastic bag or an official MAGIC nappy bag, as some thinner bags may not seal properly. Always close the top lid correctly after each use and keep the nappy bin opening in the stand-by position, meaning the cup remains open and not with the rounded side facing up. Finally, check that the pail is closed securely at all times to maintain optimal performance.
I can’t open the top of the nappy bin when the bag is full — how do I open it correctly?
Use the small button to release the top of the nappy bin. Turn the button and carefully lift off the top section together with the bag. Once removed, twist the bag a few times to seal it, then slide the bag out from the top and dispose of it as usual.
How do I clean my nappy bin?
To clean the top of the nappy bin, unscrew the drum holder as explained in the manual, then remove the round drum for cleaning. Do not place any part of the product in the dishwasher. Clean all parts by hand using lukewarm water, a few tablespoons of baking soda, and a small amount of mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow everything to air dry completely before reassembling.
Which plastic bag should I use?
You can use most plastic bags with your nappy bin, however higher-quality bags will deliver the best results. We recommend avoiding very thin supermarket shopping bags, as they may not seal properly. Always check bags for holes or damage before use. For the best fit and performance, we recommend our MAGIC nappy bags, which are designed with the right strength and fit to help lock in odours for up to two weeks when used correctly.
⚠️ Safety notice:
Always keep plastic bags away from children. We recommend storing bag rolls in a locked or out-of-reach location at all times.
